Client Testimonials
Below are comments received by Stuart from previous customers, many of whom have since become friends.
Last fall my wife and I had the opportunity to fulfil a long held dream. Ever since we heard President Reagan's stirring Boys of Pointe Du Hoc speech on June 6, 1984, we've longed to visit the D-Day beaches of Normandy.
We wanted to walk on the sand that citizen-soldiers tread upon when they launched the liberation of Europe. We wanted to pay homage to the courageous men who had stormed the beaches.
In the months leading up to our departure for France, we consumed everything we could put our hands on - books, articles, movies, documentaries - that provided background for the events that occurred on June 6, 1944.
Wanting to put the story in its proper context, we engaged the services of Stuart Robertson. We couldn't have made a better choice. Stuart, thanks so much for a moving and so insightful tour of the Normandy Battlefields.

This Tour by Stuart was a highlight of our trip to France. Stuart's passion for the Normandy invasion on both the macro and the personal level made history come alive! From the hedgerows, to the ringing bells at Ste Mere Eglise, to the American Cemetery - the experience was unforgettable!

I want to personally thank you for making our visit to Normandy such a memorial occasion that will never be forgotten. I especially appreciated the way in which you brought each location visited to life by sharing those stories of the men that were there. Thank you again Stuart our making our visit so special and thank you for honoring my dear old friend Mr Norris who landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day. I told you originally that this would probably be a once in a life time visit for us. That has changed. We will return to Normandy because of you.

Terry and I want to thank you for one of the most moving experiences of our lives. Our tour guide, Stuart, was knowledgeable about the facts of D-Day and passionate in his presentation. He showed us photos of real soldiers and told us their personal stories which put a human face to the history and made us feel as if we were there. We cannot say enough good things about this man. He brought D-Day to life for us and, thanks to him, we will never forget what happened that day. When we booked the tour, we weren't sure what to expect, but what we got far exceeded any expectations.

We wanted to thank you again for the wonderful experience your knowledge added to our tour. You treated my Grandfather John W. Parkin, a WWII Veteran, like a celebrity...autographs, pictures and all!
We truly enjoyed your professionalism, dedication, and passion for the tour. We went very far out of our way to make this happen. There was no doubt it was worth it, but you really made it memorable.
Thank you again...may you continue to teach history with such passion.

I got home yesterday afternoon and planned on writing then but I was understandably tired, therefore waited until I woke up this morning to write. I can hardly find the words to express what a wonderful time my wife and I had on the tour. You can bet I will be back. As I told you, I am strongly affiliated with the museum here, being their military consultant, and I now plan on making a bid with the powers that be there to put together a much better display for D-Day. My wife and I thought one of the best parts of the your tour was how you put the stories of individuals with the broad perspective of the places we visited - it made them seem so human, more intense and gave a true depiction of what the individual soldier saw as he faced the enemy. Outstanding! Please keep in touch.
